I went out this morning and tried to get in at Columbia Bottoms. Best we could do was pill 17. We will give it a shot again tomorrow, if we don't get in we may head to the river in the afternoon.

We had lots of birds moving down this way. They didn't wanna work to well though. I ended up with 2 green wings a shoveler and a woody. Not bad for being 75 degrees. Lot better than I expected.

Good shoot, maybe the weather will cool down this week. I know the deer hunters are hoping so.

Our morning plans were changed at 11:30 last night. Someone in our party was called into work, so I hunted solo. Drew pill 12....out of 13. Hunted a south facing blind with our beautiful south wind and high temps. Only managed to bring down one bird.. the almighty shoveler.

We'll try it again tomorrow.

This morning ( Sunday ) was a little better. We did draw in and managed 1 GW before they quit flying. Birds were done by 9:00 am and we were gone by 10:30. We saw plenty of coots, could have had a easy limit. I don't like wasting steel shot on coots though.

Sounds good. We live so close that we shouldn't have any problems getting together for a hunt.
