I am looking for some general information; not looking for or expecting to get too detailed. Seasoned waterfowler, but new to Missouri and might want to teal hunt this year. Is it usually any good in Missouri and worth the effort to hunt opening day? If I go I'm thinking Stockton, Truman, Four rivers or Shell Osage. I'll put in my time scouting...but generally are any of those areas worth a darn for teal?
Thanks |

Teal want shallow water Marshes!!! Four rivers prob best bet would stay away from lakes. Some of my best Teal hunts have been on sheet water in the bottoms!! They really like 2-3 inch water. Mo can be good for Teal. just like anything else depends on weather. Teal move in with the slightest weather change, north wind rain front.
Heck got nothing else to do in September!!!! _________________ Gumbo Calls Pro Staff

Teal can be good here. We will see what happens, I have heard rumors of no season on teal and reduced season on ducks thanks to BP. Hopefully there just rumors. _________________ Muddy River Waterfowl Co-Owner

| Thanks for the input....I'm thinking I'll start scouting four rivers. Appreciate knowing it might be worth it. I have a 9 month old Chessie that is coming on real well....doves, Teal, early goose.....That ought to get him started. |

be ready for a madhouse at 4rivers during teal season. teal are spotty in swmo where i am at. if you arn't paying attention they are here and gone before you can shake a shotgun at them. good luck. _________________ Exhaulted Supreme Ruler of the Brown Duck Mafia
